Mogers Drewett expands with new partner

Mogers Drewett has expanded its Commercial Property team and welcomes Richard Pike as a new Partner. Richard has extensive experience in commercial property law, with a particular focus on development, option and overage agreements. He also specialises in acting for both landowners and mineral and aggregates operating companies on the management and extraction of mineral deposits.

Before joining the firm, Richard worked in private practice in London for leading law firms, Addleshaw Goddard and Shepherd and Wedderburn, and in-house for the London Development Agency, where he advised on projects such as the land assembly for the 2012 Olympic Park and the Emirates Air Line cross-Thames cable car. Richard has also worked overseas in Nairobi for one of Kenya’s top commercial firms and advised on projects such as the land aspects of a proposed geothermal power plant within Mount Longonot National Park. Since returning to the UK, Richard has practiced in Bath with national firm, Thrings.

Based at the firm’s Bath office, Richard will be joining Mogers Drewett’s growing commercial property offering. Managing Partner of Mogers Drewett, Steven Treharne said, “Richard is a great addition to strengthen and broaden the experience of our growing team. His ability to make the complicated sound straight forward and empathize with clients’ needs make him the perfect fit for the firm and will offer our clients clear and commercially savvy advice.”

Richard added, “I’m excited to be joining Mogers Drewett. Not only is it a well-established firm, but it has a positive reputation throughout the South West and is known for working closely with clients to deliver successful outcomes. I’m looking forward to working with the team and getting to know and understand our clients’ businesses to support their property plans.”
