Mogers Drewett Sponsors Wells Fun Run 2017
Mogers Drewett has joined the sponsorship team of the Wells Fun Run 2017 organised by Wells City Harriers, which takes place Sunday 28th May.
Consisting of a 10k race for experienced runners, a 5k race for speed merchants and novices, a 3k race for 10-12 year olds, a 1.2k race for 8-10 year olds, and a shortie for toddlers that takes place in the grounds of the Bishop’s Palace, the Wells Fun Run was a big success in 2016 attracting 600 runners and is set to be an equal success in 2017. The race has its origins in the early 1980s when it was started as the Wells Fund Run organised by the Scouts.
Speaking about the sponsorship, Amanda Inch, Partner Commercial Property at Mogers Drewett’s Well office said “The Wells Fun Run is a wonderful family event. Community events such as this that promote healthy life styles and which are fun are something we are very happy to support. We appreciate that organisers need corporate support, and we are more than happy to help and to have our name associated with such an event.”
Lynne Elstob of the Wells Fun Run organising committee added “We are delighted that Mogers Drewett is joining our long-term team of sponsors that also include Wells Reclamation, Bowleys Garage, Old Mill Accountants, and Tincknell Fuels. We are also helped by Tesco and Glastonbury Water. This level of local support is crucial to allowing this long-held event to continue and to grow.
