We’re now looking for a capable Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (2–4 years PQE) to join the team in Sherborne. Someone who is committed to high-quality client service and keen to grow with us.
About the role
In this role you will:
- Provide expert, client-centred advice on private client matters, including wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney and estate administration.
- Manage your own caseload from initial meetings through to completion, building trusted relationships along the way.
- Draft legal documents that help clients plan for the future with confidence.
- Communicate clearly with clients, in person, on the phone and in writing, to remove complexity and support good decision-making.
- Support and supervise junior and support staff, helping develop talent within the team.
- Contribute to business development and operational thinking that strengthens how we serve our clients.
- Build and maintain positive relationships across the firm and within the local community.
What we’re looking for
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Experience working in a private client team.
- A genuine ability to build rapport and manage client expectations with clarity and care.
- Strong organisational skills to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
- Financial awareness to take responsibility for clients’ matters from a commercial standpoint.
- A willingness to grow your experience and confidence in business development and networking appropriate to your level.
- An appetite to contribute to a supportive, collaborative team culture.
