Future Sherborne – the 4 working groups for the future of Sherborne

In partnership with Ogilvy and More | Hosted by Mogers Drewett and Sir Chris Coville

The Turing Project has moved on since our last meetings. This event will focus on the Conference in October and the emerging Business Plan for the Turing Centre. The Conference promises to be transformational for Sherborne, with two days of events on 15th/16th October to showcase AI and other emerging technologies, mainly to excite the interest of young people in the area, but also to put Sherborne on the map as a centre for tomorrow’s digital pioneers. This meeting will detail the Conference’s amazing programme and participants and will share with attendees the early steps taken to produce a commercially viable Business Plan for the Alan Turing Centre.

  • Young people, innovation and entrepreneurship – creating opportunities to help secure their future
  • Commercial and residential properties – working to enhance their external appearance and aesthetic beauty
  • The Sherborne Heritage Experience – linking our history, arts and cultural attractions in a seamless way to create the highest possible quality of visitor experience.
  • Celebrating the life and scientific achievements of Alan Turing – a conference in 2026 and the creation of the Alan Turing Centre as a bold new space for education, start-ups and the next generation of digital pioneers.

The Town Council, business organisations and a host of significant individuals from in and around Sherborne are supporting the initiative – as well as key organisations such as The Sherborne Schools Group, and Mogers Drewett Solicitors.

This is a public event open to businesses that are interested in the future development of Sherborne and region. Everyone is welcome.
