Mogers Drewett Proudly Continues Support for Local Food Banks

Food Bank Article

Mogers Drewett is proud to continue its support for local food banks across all four office locations in Bath, Sherborne, Wells and Frome. For several years, donating to local food banks has been an important and ongoing cause for the firm, reflecting our commitment to supporting the communities in which we live and work. Through regular donations and staff involvement, we aim to help provide essential food supplies to individuals and families who need them most. We value the strong relationships we have built with our local food banks and look forward to continuing this support in the years ahead, helping to make a positive and meaningful difference at a local level.

Rebecca Churcher, Mogers Drewett Bath Receptionist

“We are so grateful for the donations we receive from the Bath, Sherborne, Wells and Frome communities through Statutory Declarations, certifying of documents and donations. These donations have enabled the Genesis Trust, Wells Store House, Sherborne Food Bank and Fair Frome to continue supporting their clients. It is so positive to hear how impactful our donations have been directly from the Genesis Trust team when they come to collect from us. Thank you to the food banks for all that you do!”

Wells Store House

“We’re incredibly grateful for the generous support we get from Mogers Drewett. Partnerships like this are essential to us, as the donation of vital funds and quality food means that we can ensure that food poverty in Wells and the surrounding villages is being alleviated”.

Genesis Trust – Bath Food Bank

“Thank you, Mogers Drewett, and your amazing clients for supporting Bath, Keynsham and Somer Valley Foodbank with your generous donations of food this Christmas. You are enabling local people facing a crisis to access much-needed food parcels.

Foodbank provided food parcels for 5,521 people in Bath and, toward the end of this year, joined with two other local Trussell foodbanks in Keynsham and Somer Valley to better support our clients.

Genesis Life Projects supported 650 people last year over 10,845 visits. This is a 5% increase on the previous year. These visits could have been to get food, clothing or showers, to attend a Life Skills course, seek support with housing or money management or to share a meal with others.

Thank you again for your support. You are enabling us to journey with our clients as they work through issues such as homelessness, addiction, isolation and food poverty.

We couldn’t support our clients without you.”

Harry Durston, Mogers Drewett Solicitor and Fair Frome Trustee

“Mogers Drewett’s continued support for local food banks in Bath, Wells, Sherborne, and Frome has a meaningful impact on the lives of people across our communities. As a trustee of Fair Frome, I know how vital this support is in helping provide emergency food, household essentials, hot meals, and practical help to families when they are facing difficult times. We are extremely grateful for their ongoing commitment.”

Sherborne Food Bank

“This Christmas, Sherborne Food Bank has once again been supported by Mogers Drewett. On Friday, 5th December, Sherborne Food Bank welcomed a representative of the Sherborne office of Mogers Drewett to handover a donation of collected food. This gesture of seasonal goodwill helps deliver a message of hope and continues to deliver the necessary Christmas cheer, alongside the food bank’s usual food and essentials, to reach those in our community who need it most.

This gesture by Mogers Drewett is invaluable and helps the food bank continue its charitable mission to alleviate food poverty within a 7.5-mile radius of Sherborne. Recently celebrating 10 years as a registered charity, Sherborne Food Bank delivers more than 1,880 emergency food parcels a year, distributing over 50,000 products in 2025 alone. This is all achieved by a dedicated team of some 90 volunteers who collect, sort, pack and deliver each week; and of course, thanks to the kindness and generosity of the local community.

This visit co-incided with a educational visit by Harbour Vale School who helped pack the donation away .”

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated to our food bank collections in our four offices, we are honoured to support such important initiatives in our communities.
